Mental Health Support: Building Mind Resilience

Recognizing the emotional and psychological challenges that refugees and migrants often face during the process of resettlement, our organization prioritizes mental health as a core part of our support services.
Key Mental Health Initiatives

  1. Bi-Monthly Mental Health Workshops

    • Delivered every two months, these sessions focus on mind resilience, stress management, and emotional wellbeing.

    • Led by trained professionals or experienced peer supporters, they provide safe spaces for individuals to express, reflect, and heal.

  2. Peer-to-Peer Emotional Support

    • Refugees and migrants are connected with mentors who have lived through similar experiences.

    • These peer relationships help reduce isolation, foster trust, and promote mental wellness through shared understanding.

  3. Specialized Referrals

    • Individuals with complex or urgent mental health needs are signposted to specialist mental health services, including counselling, therapy, and clinical support.

  4. Community Integration for Mental Wellness

    • Regular joint cultural and faith-based events are organized in collaboration with ethnic minority and religious organizations.

    • These events not only promote integration but also improve overall mental health by fostering a sense of belonging and connection.

  5. Skills-Building and Confidence Development

    • By addressing barriers such as language, employment, and education, we help individuals regain agency over their lives, reducing anxiety and improving self-worth.
